Kherson City Council has updated the 2026 action plan for the municipal economy department, providing more than UAH 419 million to support utilities and institutions. Khersonteploenergo will receive the largest amount of funding, while part of the funds will be used to enforce court decisions, pay for electricity, and pay salaries to employees.

The Centerfor Public Investigations found out how the funds were distributed.

The adjustments were made to the budget program that provides for the activities of enterprises, institutions and organizations in the housing and communal sector.

The updated document sets the total amount of funding at UAH 419.3 million. As usual, Khersonteploenergo will receive the largest support, with UAH 187.4 million allocated for the company.

At the same time, a significant part of the allocated funds will be used to cover current expenses. In particular, more than UAH 59.4 million will be used to pay salaries to employees, and another UAH 13 million will be used to pay the relevant charges.

The changes also apply to Kherson City Council's Housing Office No. 1. The company has been allocated UAH 111.3 thousand to comply with the decision of the Southwestern Commercial Court of Appeal.

Of this amount, more than UAH 110 thousand is the principal debt, and about UAH 1.3 thousand is the cost of paying the court fee. Thus, the financial obligations under the court decision will be covered by the city budget.

Three Wells will also receive funding, with almost UAH 3.9 million allocated for it. The bulk of the funds - UAH 2.94 million - will be used to pay salaries, more than UAH 628 thousand will be spent on salary accruals, and almost UAH 200 thousand will be allocated to pay for electricity.

Kherson MBA has also provided over UAH 102 million for the work of the authorities in 2026. The main expenses will be spent on salaries, as well as on information support, membership fees, and the activities of the city council.
