Kherson has identified locations for the installation of four new transportable boiler houses, which the city received from international partners.

The relevant order was signed by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Roman Mrochko.

According to the document, this decision was made to ensure a stable heating season under martial law and to increase the city's energy independence. Khersonteploenergo, a municipal utility company, will carry out the work.

The company was instructed to act as a customer for the design, construction, and reconstruction of the heating system. According to the plan, the utility company should ensure the installation of VIESSMANN VITOMODUL transportable boilers at four designated addresses.

The project is being implemented in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), which will provide the city with four modular gas boilers: one with a capacity of 1 MW and three with a capacity of 2 MW. They will be installed in residential areas of Kherson.

Control over the implementation of the order is entrusted to the city council and the leadership of the relevant departments.

Earlier, Kherson changed the heating tariffs for the population for the 2024-2025 season. The new prices are set for KhersonPetroenergo and include the cost of heat energy, its production, transportation and supply. The cost of heating for the population supplied by Kherson Petroenergo, Kherson Heat and Power Plant JSC, Kherson Petroenergo PE and Group Company LLC in the heating season 2024-2025 remained the same as last season.

The candidate for the position of the head of Khersonteploenergo, Gennadiy Shchurov, also declared land and business registered in Crimea. He listed a 700 m2 land plot in Sevastopol and a 48 m2 apartment in Dnipro. He owns 50% of the authorized capital of the company Specialized Company Slavutych LLC, which is also registered in Sevastopol.
