(COLLAGE: Free radio)

In Kherson, a court found guilty a man who worked in an expert center created by the occupiers. After the de-occupation, his actions were classified as collaboration.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Kherson City Court.

During the occupation of Kherson by Russian troops in 2022, a local resident agreed to work in an illegally created forensic center under the occupation police. He voluntarily took the position of an "expert of the automotive research department" in this center. His actions were classified under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The accused's guilt was confirmed by the testimony of several people who worked at the center or had contact with him. The witnesses said that the staff received salaries in cash in rubles, the documents were drawn up by the occupation administration, and the center operated in the premises of the former research and expert institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

After the de-occupation of Kherson in November 2022, the premises were found partially looted, but with signs, documentation, expert opinions and material evidence intact.

The court found him guilty of voluntarily holding a position in an illegal law enforcement agency established in the temporarily occupied territory. For this, he was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

In addition to the main sentence, he is banned from holding public office for 15 years after his release. The court also ordered the confiscation of all property belonging to the accused. This includes a two-room apartment and a land plot - the seizure of these properties has been left in place until the sentence is executed.

The convict will be kept in custody until he begins serving his sentence.

Also in Kherson region, a serviceman was served a notice of suspicion for disclosing information about the positions of the Armed Forces and for leaving his unit without permission. The investigation found that in October 2024, he used his cell phone to shoot a video of screens with operational data, including maps and markings. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

In addition, after the de-occupation of the Kherson region, a man who worked for the enemy in a captured colony during the occupation was detained. He is accused of voluntarily taking a position in an illegal law enforcement agency, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
