(COLLAGE: Channel 24)

Kherson has updated the procedure for military registration: now district councils are obliged to take care of summonses, registration and interaction with the military commissariat, the Security Service of Ukraine and intelligence. The new requirements were introduced to better coordinate mobilization efforts during martial law.

The relevant order was signed by the head of the Kherson MMA Yaroslav Shanko.

The Kherson City Military Administration has introduced a new procedure for organizing and maintaining military records of conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists in the city.

The document approved amendments to the city council's decision of 2021. According to them, the authority to register persons liable for military service is officially vested in the executive bodies of the city's district councils.

In particular, the districts have to:

In addition, district councils must ensure the security of accounting documents, reporting to the CMC, and informing the heads of enterprises and organizations about their responsibilities in the field of military registration.

As noted in the document, such changes were adopted under martial law in order to strengthen control over the mobilization readiness of the population. The procedure for organizing the registration was made consistent with the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution of December 30, 2022, which regulates the registration of conscripts and reservists.

In April, the Kherson region intensified mobilization and control over persons liable for military service, and introduced a new regime of light camouflage - from 21:00 to 05:00. In addition, the procurement of street shelters and dual-purpose structures to increase public safety during shelling was allowed without using the Prozorro procurement platform.
