The editorial office of Intent has completed training the first intake of students at its media school. In May 2025, the graduates who completed the full course of study were awarded certificates.

The program was launched in November 2024 and was primarily aimed at undergraduate and graduate students majoring in non-journalism. At the beginning of the program, there were ten participants, but only four made it to the finals. One of the graduates has already joined the editorial team.

The Intent Media School is an educational project designed to train new media professionals focused on working in local and regional media. It combines theoretical classes with practical training in the newsroom itself, which allows participants to feel part of the journalistic profession.

"These were comfortable, cozy and very useful classes. The theory is modern, lively, visual, and the practice is inspiring. We did not just listen to lectures, but created materials and worked together with the editorial staff. I came here with a library degree, but I found myself in the media and am already working in a team," shared her impressions Kateryna, one of the participants.

During the course, students learned the skills of writing news, preparing interviews, creating reports, and also studied the basics of video production and social media. The teachers included journalists and experts from the Intent team, as well as university professors and independent media analysts.

Participation in the school was free of charge, which was an additional incentive for young people who want to find themselves in the media world. The editorial office plans to launch the second intake, which should start in the near future.

In April, the Institute of Mass Information updated its interactive map of recommended Ukrainian media outlets. From Odesa region, the list includes 11 publications (online, television, radio).

According to the results of an independent expert assessment by the Institute of Mass Information (IMI) and Detector Media, the updated list includes 174 Ukrainian resources, including Intent.

Earlier, Intent co-founded the UA Recovery Window MediaNetwork, which includes independent media, NGOs and think tanks focused on high-quality and transparent coverage of all aspects of Ukraine's recovery. This association was launched on January 22, 2024.
