In the Rozdilnyanskyi District, three teenagers lured a 12-year-old fellow villager into a wooded area, where they beat and choked him. They recorded the assault on a cell phone and posted the video on social media.
This was reported by the press service of the National Police in the Odesa region.
Law enforcement learned of the incident while monitoring social media. Police officers saw a video in which a group of young men were tormenting another teenager.
Law enforcement determined that the incident took place in late July. The 14-year-old and two 17-year-old boys had gotten into an argument with their 12-year-old fellow villager.
After the conflict, the older teenagers decided to “teach the boy a lesson.” They lured him away from his home to a wooded area.

There, the teenagers began beating the child and choking him. They recorded everything that happened on video and later shared the recording on social media.
Police identified all those involved in the incident. After conducting the necessary investigative procedures, law enforcement gathered evidence against two 17-year-old boys.
They were notified that they are suspected of torture committed by a group of individuals acting in concert against a minor.
Under this section of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the suspects face five to ten years in prison.
As for the 14-year-old involved in the incident, the police are separately determining the circumstances and deciding on his liability, taking his age into account.
As previously reported by Intent, a resident of the Odesa region was taken into custody without the right to bail on suspicion of murdering his partner’s five-year-old son. According to the investigation, the man shot the boy in the head with an air rifle and decided to cover it up.
