<span><span><span><span><span><span>This is according to data from the Main Department of Statistics in the Mykolaiv region.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
The Voznesensk District ranks second in terms of wage arrears, with 15,512,000 hryvnias owed. In the Pervomaisky District, wage arrears reached<span><span><span><span><span><span>12,072,000 hryvnias. In the Bashtanka District, employees were underpaid </span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span><span>by 6,442,000 hryvnias.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
Most of the debt in the Voznesensk and Bashtanka districts accumulated in previous years.
The largest amount of unpaid wages is in <span><span><span><span><span><span>the </span></span></span></span></span></span> industrial <span><span><span><span><span><span>sector, which accounts for </span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span>78.1%</span></span> <span><span><span><span><span><span>of the total debt </span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span>. </span></span>
<span><span>Earlier, it was reported that</span></span><span><span><span><span><span><span>the average salary in the Mykolaiv region exceeded 26,000 hryvnias. </span></span></span></span></span></span>The highest figures in the region were recorded in the sector of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply. In May, the average salary for workers in this sector was52,119 hryvnias—nearly twice the regional average.
Employees in the arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation sectors earned the least. The average salary in this sector was12,282 hryvnias, which is less than half the regional average in Mykolaiv Oblast.
