In Odesa region, a woman gave birth when a drone hit a maternity hospital

A hospital in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa region, was hit by a Russian drone in the morning of June 1.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

The attack damaged the maternity ward and administrative buildings of the hospital. The facade, doors and more than 30 windows of the medical facility were damaged. Six women in labor with babies were in the ward, and one woman was in labor, but neither patients nor staff were injured. The response efforts are ongoing.

Two Russian attacks that targeted Odesa on the night of May 31-June 1 injured five people. Two were hospitalized, two were treated on the spot, and one person refused hospitalization. Russian drones damaged apartment buildings in different parts of the city, administrative buildings and infrastructure. For example, a nine-story building was hit by an enemy UAV, partially destroying the first and second floors. The building' s facade and balconies were damaged. A non-residential two-story building also caught fire. After the second attack, two one-story buildings caught fire. So far, 82 windows have been smashed, 72 of which have already been closed. There were also hits to warehouses, a wheat hangar, and an inactive administrative building outside Odesa in the region - one person was injured.

On the night of May 29, Odesa region was also targeted by Russian unmanned aerial vehicle attacks. In particular, the south of Odesa region was under attack by drones, but one of the drones flew to the Romanian city of Galati and crashed into a residential high-rise building, hitting an apartment on the tenth floor. This resulted in an explosion that started a fire. Two people were injured.
