Two nighttime attacks in Odesa leave five people injured

Five people were injured in two Russian attacks that targeted Odesa on the night of May 31-June 1.

According to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, two were hospitalized, two were treated on the spot, and one person refused hospitalization.

According to the head of the MMA, Russian drones damaged apartment buildings in different districts of the city, administrative buildings, and infrastructure. For example, a nine-story building was hit by an enemy UAV, partially destroying the first and second floors. The building's facade and balconies were damaged. A non-residential two-story building also caught fire. After the second attack, two one-story buildings caught fire. So far, 82 windows have been smashed, 72 of which have already been closed.

According to the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, there were also hits to warehouses, a wheat hangar, and an inactive administrative building outside Odesa in the region, with one person injured.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of June 1, starting at 18:00 on May 31, Russians launched 265 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmash, and Parodya-type attack drones and imitators in Ukraine<span>.As of 8:00 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 228 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country.</span> There were 27 hits by attack UAVs at 18 locations, and the downed UAVs fell (wreckage) at 12 locations.
