Russian troops attacked the building of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kherson region. The strike caused a fire, and the roof and upper floors of the building were destroyed.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and the city of Sevastopol.
According to the tax service, a Russian drone dropped a shell containing an incendiary mixture onto the roof of the building. The impact caused a fire.
There were no fatalities or injuries. However, the roof and upper floors of the building were destroyed, and the rest of the structure sustained significant damage.
Rescue workers extinguished the fire. The State Tax Service noted that they worked despite the constant risk of further attacks.
The full extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
Due to the damage to the building, the Kherson Regional Tax Office will temporarily suspend in-person services.
Recently, on the morning of August 31 in Kherson, a Russian drone attacked the grounds of a healthcare facility in the city center. Two employees of the facility were injured.
On the morning of August 29, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, a Russian FPV drone struck a car. A 61-year-old man suffered blast injuries and chest wounds. He made his way to the hospital on his own, but medical staff were unable to save him.
On the evening of August 28, the Russians dropped explosives on a private home. A 36-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son were injured. The woman suffered shrapnel wounds to her chest and lower leg, while the child sustained injuries to his neck, torso, and limbs. Both were taken away by ambulance.
