In the frontline city of Mykolaiv, an operating room in the hospital where Ukrainian soldiers are treated has been renovated. UAH 4 million was allocated from the city budget for the renovation, and now doctors have a modern space for complex surgeries.

According to the Mykolaiv City Council, the project was a continuation of the renovation of the medical facility: back in 2024, the facility underwent partial repairs. Then it became obvious that the operating room needed a complete renovation, and the city council allocated the necessary funding.

In turn, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych noted that the hospital treats soldiers fighting in the southern sector, so the quality of the conditions directly affects their recovery.

After the renovation, the hospital has a modern, inclusive operating room equipped to meet all the requirements. It provides proper conditions for both patients and medical staff, which is critical for the safety and efficiency of operations.

The city council emphasizes that even in difficult times, healthcare funding and support for the military remain among the key priorities.

As previously reported by Intent, Mykolaiv is preparing to overhaul the city's Children's Hospital No. 2. The work includes insulation of the facade and basement, replacement of windows and roofs, and renovation of internal engineering networks and gutters. The total budget of the project is about UAH 52 million, of which more than UAH 41 million will be spent on construction work, and the rest on design, expertise, technical supervision, author's supervision, and taxes.

Mykolaiv is also planning a large-scale reconstruction of school No. 23, which includes thermal sanitation of the building and the creation of comfortable and safe conditions for 350 students and 45 teachers. The total cost of the project is estimated at UAH 34.2 million, but funding has not yet been confirmed.
