Heat, boilers and school repairs: how Kherson Education Department spent budget funds

In 2025, the Kherson City Council's Education Department spent budget funds mainly on energy, repairs and maintenance of educational institutions. During the year, the institution announced dozens of procurements for the needs of city schools and kindergartens.

Intent analyzed the largest deals in the Zakupivli.pro system. The procurement analysis is based on the expected value, as the initial price may decrease during auctions.

The institution started the year by meeting its basic needs. In particular, UAH 853.7 thousand was planned for heat supply services, and natural gas distribution was to cost UAH 668 thousand. The most expensive services at the beginning of the year were electricity distribution (over UAH 2.1 million) and heat supply (UAH 4.1 million). In February, an additional UAH 9 million was allocated for heating.

The repairs in the first months of the year included the current repair of water supply and sewage systems at Kherson Educational Complex No. 15 worth UAH 134.7 thousand. Maintenance of boiler equipment was also ordered for over UAH 558 thousand.

In March, the Education Department announced several procurements for safety and improvement. In particular, more than 262 thousand hryvnias were spent on household waste management, and about 430 thousand hryvnias were spent on loading and removing leaves, branches and construction waste. Over UAH 850 thousand was also planned for fire alarm maintenance.

In April, we continued to purchase utilities. UAH 275 thousand was planned for centralized water supply, and over UAH 784 thousand for sewage. In addition, almost UAH 2 million was allocated for heat supply.

We also carried out routine repairs of plumbing networks in schools and kindergartens: over UAH 120 thousand in school No. 46 and over UAH 185 thousand in kindergarten No. 45. And the current repair of the power supply system in kindergarten No. 2 "Pearl" was supposed to cost more than 153 thousand.

In the summer, the Education Department ordered a number of repairs. More than 84 thousand hryvnias were allocated for the repair of the drainage system at school No. 39 "School-Family", and the repair of the water supply system at kindergarten No. 9 was to cost almost 96 thousand. In August, about 180 thousand hryvnias were again planned for the removal of garbage, branches and leaves.

In October, the Education Department announced the purchase of natural gas for over UAH 3.3 million. In addition, the institution purchased A-95 gasoline for UAH 89.7 thousand.

As a result, in 2025, the Kherson City Council's Education Department spent about UAH 28 million on the most expensive procurement. Most of the money was spent on heating and energy, as well as on repairs in schools and kindergartens, water supply, boiler maintenance, waste disposal, and fuel purchases.

During the year, the Department of Culture of Kherson City Council also concluded contracts worth over UAH 1 million, with the largest expenditures for energy, internet, ritual attributes and state symbols.
