Kherson budget spent on flags and ritual attributes

In 2025, the Department of Culture of the Kherson City Council spent its budget on a wide range of goods and services - from electricity and heating to books, flags and ritual attributes.

Intent analyzed the largest transactions in the Zakupivli.pro system.

The largest expenses were spent on energy. In particular, 250 thousand hryvnias were allocated for the purchase of electricity, and another 161 thousand for heat supply. Electricity distribution cost 51.8 thousand. In addition, they purchased wood pellets for UAH 60.5 thousand.

The department also spent money on the Internet and communications. Starlink maintenance cost 65.5 thousand, and the Internet provider received another 14.4 thousand.

More than one hundred thousand hryvnias were spent on funeral and memorial events. Wreaths were spent three times for 24.7 thousand hryvnias each, floral products (blue and yellow chrysanthemums) several times for 16.4-17.6 thousand hryvnias each, lamps - amounts ranging from 2.5 thousand to 17.6 thousand hryvnias each, and photo portraits and frames - 6-7 thousand hryvnias each. In total, more than 160 thousand hryvnias were spent on ritual paraphernalia.

The category of state symbols also saw considerable purchases. For example, flags and banners of various formats cost over 150 thousand hryvnias: 48 thousand for small flags, 40 thousand for metal pipes for flags, and another 38 thousand for flags with local symbols.

Other expenses included books for cultural events (39.4 thousand for Victor Wald's novel and 16.4 thousand for works by contemporary Ukrainian authors), an Asus laptop for almost 22.5 thousand, and repairs to heating systems in clubs for more than 70 thousand.

As a result, the Department of Culture of the Kherson City Council concluded contracts for more than UAH 1 million over the year, with the largest expenditure items being energy, internet, ritual attributes, and state symbols.

Also, in the first five months of 2025, the executive committee of the Kherson City Council spent more than UAH 3.5 million from the city budget on various needs, from fuel and official services to detergents and everyday equipment. The expenditures also include symbolic orders: in February, the executive committee purchased 30 sets that included a badge "For the Defense and Liberation of Kherson," a certificate and a certificate.
