Former Assistant Director of Odesa Heat Supply Utility Heads the Tax Service

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Lesya Karnaukh, who previously served as the first deputy to Ruslan Kravchenko, who was transferred to the post of Prosecutor General of Ukraine, as the interim head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine (STS).

Lesia Karnaukh was born on February 26, 1983, in Yahotyn, Kyiv region, and in 2004 graduated from the Odesa National Law Academy with a degree in Law, receiving a master's degree in law.

After that, she worked as a chief specialist in the Department for Interaction with the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) and Coordination of Legislative Work, chief specialist in the Legal Department of the State Committee of Natural Resources, chief specialist in the Department of Material Reserves, Implementation of Relations with Industry and Humanitarian Aid, and head of the sector for support and legal support of tender procedures in the Resource Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

From 2007 to 2010, she was an assistant director of the municipal enterprise "Heat Supply of Odesa". Then she worked at the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Kyiv Region and the State Service of Nature Conservation.

From 2011 to 2014, she was Deputy Director of the Department and Head of the Division for Organizing the Activities of Nature Reserve Fund Institutions of the Department of Nature Reserve Affairs of the Ministry of Ecology.

From 2014 to 2016 - Head of the Sector for Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Department of Life Safety and Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.

From 2016 to 2018 - Director of the Department of Strategic Environmental Policy, Director of the Department of Strategies and European Integration of the Ministry of Ecology.

From 2018 to 2019 - Advisor to the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber (patronage service) of the Member of Parliament Valeriy Patskan.

From 2019 to 2023 - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Accounting Chamber.

From June 2023, she worked as the Head of the Patronage Service for the Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration Ruslan Kravchenko, who appointed her Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration on August 11.
