Anton Ganotsky, an expert on the Asia-Pacific region at the AdAstra think tank, said in an interview with Radio NV that Chinese agents in the world are more powerful than Russian ones.

He also said that there is an underground Chinese police station in Odesa that controls the Chinese diaspora.

"China's spy agency - not only in Ukraine, but all over the world - is very, very expanded, much more powerful than, for example, the Russian agency. Because the Chinese Ministry of State Security has a fairly extensive network of its agents," said Anton Ganotsky.

He also said that China controls its citizens around the world.

"For example, there are clandestine, I would say, police stations on the territory of Chinese embassies in different parts of the world. There is one in Odesa that actually controls the Chinese diaspora and monitors the activities of Chinese agents," the expert said.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine detained two Chinese citizens in Kyiv who were trying to smuggle out classified data on a missile system. The offenders were exposed during the transfer of documentation and face up to 15 years in prison. According to the investigation, the young man tried to obtain technical documentation on the production of Neptunes, in particular by recruiting a Ukrainian specialist involved in defense developments.

The SBU detained the spy while he was receiving classified materials, and later detained his father, who was to pass the information to the Chinese intelligence services. Mobile devices with evidence of espionage activities were seized from the suspects. They were both notified of being suspected of espionage.

Also in Odesa, a representative of a private company was detained who tried to bribe an employee of a defense company to gain access to classified technical documentation on aviation developments. He was detained while handing over the bribe. Investigators are checking possible links with foreign intelligence services.
