Five large landowning companies were counted in Odesa region

The number of companies that own more than 100 hectares of land in Odesa region is five, which is less than in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

This was reported by analysts of the Opendatabot platform.

In the other two southern regions, there are six such companies. Most of them are in Kyiv region - 38. There are 28 in Kyiv and the same number in Kirovohrad region. In total, there are currently 192 companies in Ukraine that own more than 100 hectares of land. For comparison, there were 283 such companies when the land market opened in 2024. The list of large landowners decreased by 51 companies in 2024, and by another 40 companies last year.

At the same time, there are no large landowners among the companies in Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, and Chernivtsi regions. Some of the companies on the list of the largest landowners are registered in the territories affected by the war. Thus, 16 companies are registered in the temporarily occupied territories. Four companies are registered in the areas of active hostilities, where state electronic information resources continue to function. And 14 companies are located in the areas of possible hostilities.

Only 10 companies own almost a third of Ukrainian land. In total, these ten own 18,345 hectares. 67% of large landowners operate in agriculture - 129 companies. Another 33 companies, or 17%, are involved in real estate transactions. There are 11 companies in the public administration and defense sector, four in wholesale trade, and three in the financial sector.
