On August 11, in the evening, a large-scale fire broke out in the Andriyivsky forest tract near Mykolaiv. The fire destroyed 40 hectares of forest.

This was reported by the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Southwestern District.

The fire released about 30,000 tons of pollutants into the atmosphere, including 28.5 tons of carbon dioxide. The total damage from the excessive emissions amounted to UAH 110 million. The State Emergency Service emphasizes that such fires not only destroy natural ecosystems but also negatively affect air quality.

Specialists from the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Southwestern District have calculated the air damage caused by the fire at the Privoz market in Odesa, which was caused by Russian shelling. The fire released almost 160 tons of pollutants into the atmosphere, including 158 tons of carbon dioxide. The amount of damage to the air is 482,157 hryvnias. This refers to the shelling on July 24, which resulted in a large-scale fire at the Privoz market in Odesa's Prymorskyi district. The area of the fire reached 2,000 square meters.

During July 31 and on the night of August 1, 35 fires were registered in Mykolaiv region, two of which were caused by hostilities. The enemy shelled Kutsurubska community in Mykolaiv district again. In the village of Dmytrivka, a wooden non-residential building and dry grass caught fire as a result of the attack. Rescuers extinguished the fire on a total area of 505 square meters, of which 5 square meters were buildings. Firefighters managed to save two residential buildings located nearby.
