Enemy attack drones hit high-rise buildings in Odesa and port in Izmail

The night in Odesa was once again filled with explosions and sirens as the city came under another air attack. As a result of the strikes, fires broke out in high-rise buildings and the region's port infrastructure was hit.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa MVA Serhiy Lysak.

On the night of May 1, Russian troops carried out another air attack on Odesa, which resulted in damage to high-rise buildings in Khadzhibey district and infrastructure facilities. According to preliminary information, a fire broke out in a 16-story residential building in one of the city's districts.

In addition, another high-rise building was hit, causing a fire on two levels at once, the 11th and 12th floors. The flames spread quickly, but rescuers managed to bring the situation under control quickly.

All emergency services, including units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, immediately arrived at the scene and began to eliminate the consequences of the attack. The fires were quickly extinguished, preventing much greater damage.

According to the press service of the Izmail District State Administration, the occupiers also struck at the port infrastructure. Emergency services were also working there and quickly extinguished the fire.

As of the morning, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties. At the same time, information on the extent of the destruction and possible damage is still being clarified.

On the night of April 30, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Odesa, targeting residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. The nighttime attack resulted in 20 injuries.

The building of a kindergarten was severely damaged when a fire broke out, and a shopping center, a hotel, and administrative buildings were also damaged. In addition, parking lots were hit, with dozens of buses and cars destroyed or damaged.
