F-16 fighter jets shot down 10 air targets during a large-scale Russian attack on November 17.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, today, November 17, Ukrainian F-16 pilots shot down about 10 air targets. The consequences of the combined attack on infrastructure in Rivne, Lviv, Dnipro, Volyn and Odesa regions are being eliminated. In total, the air defense forces destroyed 144 targets.

"Over the past week, Russia has fired almost 140 missiles of various types, over 900 guided aerial bombs and more than 600 attack drones at Ukraine," he noted.

According to the President, Russian terrorists want to intimidate Ukrainians with cold and lack of light. They are repeating their actions and trying to get results from them.

"The whole world sees and knows that we are defending ourselves against absolute evil that does not understand any language but force. We need unity, the world needs unity. Only together can we stop this evil," Zelensky added.

According to the President, the occupiers from Russia launched about 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukraine on November 17. Air defense forces destroyed 140 of 210 air targets. According to the president, the enemy targeted energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine. Unfortunately, there is damage to facilities from hits and falling debris. In Mykolaiv , a drone attack killed two people and injured six others, including two children. A Russian attack in Odesa region also killed two people and injured a 17-year-old boy.

Representatives of a number of states, politicians and diplomats have already condemned Russia' s massive attack on Ukraine. For example, former British Secretary of Defense Grant Shepps urged us not to forget that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure constitute war crimes: "Attacks on civilian life support facilities, such as electricity, violate international law, particularly the Geneva Conventions. This is illegal, immoral and requires accountability," he wrote.
