Acting Odesa Mayor Igor Koval dismissed Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Domnitsak from his post.

The corresponding order was published by the press service of the Odesa municipality.

The reason for the dismissal was Volodymyr Domnitsak's application. He was appointed to the position of interim mayor in November 2025. Before that, he was the chief of staff of the Dnipro Regional State Administration.

Volodymyr Domnitsak's declaration as an official from Dnipro indicated that he is a co-owner of an apartment in Odesa, which he owns in half with his wife. His wife is an officer of the National Police in Odesa region.

In 2024, he received gifts totaling 240 thousand hryvnias. He drives a 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser 120, which was purchased by his wife in 2022. He keeps 100 thousand hryvnias in cash and 41 thousand US dollars jointly with his wife.

Personnel changes in Odesa City Hall have been ongoing since the President deprived Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov of Ukrainian citizenship in October 2025, and the City Council, in turn, deprived him of his powers as mayor.

For example, one of the most recent changes was the dismissal of Tetiana Prodanchuk, the head of the Children's Service of the Odesa City Council. Similarly, in December, Denys Kravchenko, who had previously been the deputy of the dismissed Anastasia Potapenko, was appointed director of the Department of Administrative Services of Odesa City Council.

Also, Natalia Soinikova, who had previously been the deputy head of the Department of Internal Policy of Odesa City Council, was appointed as the director of the Department of Internal Policy.
