Death toll from Russian strike on March 28 rises

The death toll from the Russian attack on Odesa on March 28 has risen to four people.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.

According to him, on April 3, a 79-year-old Odesa resident died in hospital; the man who was wounded in the attack was undergoing treatment, but his body could not withstand it. On March 31, Lysak reported about another Odesa resident who was injured in the attack and was undergoing treatment. He was 76 years old.

On March 28, Russians attacked Odesa with 60 unmanned aerial vehicles. The strike killed two people on the same day. Another 14 were injured. The Russians also hit the roof of a four-story maternity hospital building without causing a fire. At the time of the attack, there were 80 people in the facility, including 33 medical workers, all of whom were in the shelter. Damage and partial destruction were reported to private and multi-story buildings, as well as critical infrastructure facilities. The territory of the telecenter was also damaged.

According to the command of the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of March 28, the enemy attacked with 273 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass and other types of attack drones. Odesa region was the main target of the attack. As of 7:30 a.m., air defense defenses had neutralized 252 enemy drones. However, 21 attack drones were hit at 18 locations, and the downed drones fell (wreckage) at nine locations. After 7:00, the enemy launched repeated drone strikes in Odesa and other regions in the north and east.
