Cultural centers opened in de-occupied community in Mykolaiv region

Two new cultural hubs have been opened in the Snihuriv community in Mykolaiv region, which is recovering from de-occupation. Two centers were created in the Myrnenskyi and Kobzartsivskyi starosta districts.

This was reported by Ivan Kukhta, head of the Snihurivka MVA, in a Telegram message .

According to Kukhta, the key goal of these centers is to provide support to the community that has survived the occupation.

"Such centers are not just premises, but centers of community life, where children get opportunities for creativity, development and communication. These are places where children, youth and community members can spend their leisure time in a meaningful way, learn and develop," he said.

It was implemented by the Czech humanitarian organization "Person in Need" in consortium with JERU and the International Rescue Committee with financial support from the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

At the same time, the project in Myrnenskyi Starostat was implemented within the framework of the initiative "Support to the Restoration of Local Self-Government and Community Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine: Phase II", which is part of the Sustainable Development through Improved Local Governance program. This project is implemented by VNG International Ukraine in partnership with the Association of Ukrainian Cities and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
