A resident of the Kherson region went to work for the occupation police of the Russian Federation. The court found her guilty of collaboration and sentenced her to imprisonment with confiscation of property.

This is evidenced by the verdict of the Ternopil City District Court.

According to the investigation, after the occupation of part of Kherson region, the woman voluntarily took a position in an illegally created law enforcement agency controlled by the Russian Federation. At first, she served as the so-called "acting investigator" in the structure of the occupation police in Kherson, and later became an "investigator" in the Kalanchak unit.

According to the case file, wearing a uniform with the symbols of the Russian Federation, she accepted statements from local residents, referred to the norms of the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation and convinced citizens that from now on they should live under Russian laws. In addition, the defendant reviewed materials on alleged illegal possession of drugs, forgery of documents, theft of property and opened "criminal cases" under Russian law, signing relevant resolutions and conducting further investigation.

According to the Myrotvorets resource, it is Tetyana Yermochenko, a native of Tryfonivka village, Velyko Oleksandrivskyi district, Kherson region, born in 1988, who is suspected of treason and collaboration. She held a position in the so-called Kherson City Police Department, which was part of the occupation "Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson Region".

A witness in court said that she had known the defendant since childhood. After the occupation and her move to Ternopil, she learned from her during a telephone conversation that she worked as an investigator at the occupation police department in Kalanchak and was engaged in investigating cases.

The court found the woman guilty of collaboration and sentenced her to 15 years in prison. The court also decided to confiscate all her property. The term of her sentence will be counted from the moment of her arrest.

Also in February, the court allowed a special investigation into the director of a lyceum that operated during the occupation of Kherson. This is the former head of the Service for Children of the Velyko Oleksandrivsk District State Administration of Kherson Region, Lyudmyla Ishatenko.
