Deputies of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City Council twice tried to vote for the allocation of funds to employees of the city's utilities who built fortifications in the Pokrovske direction.

It was about changes to the Program of Territorial Defense Measures, which provided for the payment of funds to nine utility workers, Bessarabia INFORM reported.

According to the document, the changes to the Program were made because the number of utility workers performing defense tasks increased from 5 to 9 people. The new version provides for 260 thousand hryvnias of one-time financial assistance - 13 thousand hryvnias for each person who worked in Donetsk region. The project also includes bonuses and incentives for work in combat - almost UAH 500 thousand from the regional budget. Separate funds are also allocated for overalls - UAH 150 thousand - a subvention from other territorial communities in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district.

The deputies discussed this issue for some time and put it to a vote twice, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, on May 25, a group of employees of Odesa utilities went to build fortifications in the Donetsk direction. The work involved 14 volunteers.

In early April, the Standing Committee on Budget Planning and Finance of the Odesa City Council agreed to submit amendments to the budget to the session, which included the allocation of more than 70 million to eliminate the consequences of Russia's armed aggression. At that time, 11 million 760 thousand hryvnias were allocated to the Department of Labor to help housing and communal services workers who built fortifications on the front line and are involved in eliminating the consequences of armed aggression.

Last year, on September 1, a group of employees of Odesa utility companies went to build fortifications in the Donetsk sector.
