The community of Mykolaiv handed over drones to the mechanized brigade. In total, since the beginning of the invasion, Mykolaiv has received over UAH 4.3 billion worth of aid for the needs of the Armed Forces.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

Mykolaiv continues to systematically support the army and help the Armed Forces. Recently, the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade received another batch of drones from the city's community. So far, 100 drones have been delivered.

When receiving the drones from the community, oneof the city council members, Fedir Panchenko, expressed hope that they would be used effectively and that they would destroy as many enemies as possible.

The drones were received by a representative of the brigade with the call sign "Mayor". He thanked the taxpayers of Mykolaiv for their ongoing support and noted that the drones have already proved themselves in combat. With their help, Ukraine's defenders are destroying the enemy and bringing the long-awaited victory closer.

In June , the soldiers of the 54th Brigade also received a hundred drones from the city's community. The drones purchased were those that received positive feedback from the military. In 2024, 500 million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget to help the Armed Forces, and in total, the amount of assistance to the Armed Forces from the city budget exceeded the size of the city budget in 2021.

In addition to the community, the city's utilities also support the military. For example, Mykolaivoblteploenergo once again supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together with the trade union, the company's team handed over 200 FPV initiation boards to one of the military units.

In early August, employees of the utility also provided assistance to the military. This time, the company's employees donated one day's salary to the needs of the soldiers of the 46th separate airborne assault brigade. For these funds, they purchased 4 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters.

And Mykolaivelectrotrans handed over quadcopters and mobile charging stations for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the request of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, 14 DJI Mavic quadcopters and 2 battery-powered autonomous power stations were delivered.

In total, since 2022, the structural units of Mykolaiv City Council have provided assistance worth more than UAH 4.3 billion for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Volunteers also manufacture attack drones in the Mykolaiv region. After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia, residents of Mykolaiv region began to provide the Armed Forces with medical equipment, military gear and cars. Thus, on the basis of a civic initiative, the "Angry Birds" unit was formed, which is engaged in the production of attack drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
