The Ukrainian Navy, together with the Special Operations Forces, attacked the Saki airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The operation resulted in the destruction of several objects of the Russian invaders.

This was reported by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of the attack at the Saki airfield, the following were destroyed:

"Weakening the enemy's combat capabilities is another step towards victory!" the Ukrainian Navy said in a statement.

In the afternoon, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the defense forces first hit several air defense facilities at the Saki airfield in Novofedorivka, and after neutralizing the enemy's air defense systems, they destroyed a hangar where Russian Orion and Forpost drones were stored.

The video released by the Ukrainian Navy shows Ukrainian drones hitting Russian air defense systems, their command and control center, and the ZU 23-2 installation.

It should be added that the airfield in Saki remains one of Russia's main airbases in the occupied Crimea. From here, the occupiers take off their planes and bombers to patrol the Black Sea and strike on the territory of Ukraine. That is why this base has long been one of the key targets for Ukrainian forces.

In recent years, the airfield has been repeatedly attacked. In particular, on July 26, 2024, the General Staff officially confirmed a missile attack aimed at weakening the enemy's capabilities. Subsequently, the military and intelligence services repeatedly reported new damage to the base: ammunition depots exploded, aircraft and other infrastructure were damaged.

One of the most high-profile was the attack on August 4, 2025, when SBU drones managed to hit several Russian aircraft at once. A Su-30SM fighter jet was destroyed at the airfield, another aircraft of this type was damaged, and three Su-24s were hit. Additionally, the explosions covered an aviation weapons depot, causing significant losses to the enemy.
