Five more occupation judges from Crimea convicted in absentia for treason

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The post says that five more occupation "servants of Themis" who administer "justice" on behalf of and in the interests of the aggressor state were convicted in absentia under public prosecution by the autonomy 's prosecutor's office. For committing high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), they were sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 12 to 14 years.

It is noted that prosecutors proved in court that after the occupation of the peninsula, the convicts betrayed their oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine and joined the enemy. In particular, two of them took the positions of "judges" in the occupation Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea, two - in the "Feodosia" and "Yevpatoria city courts", and another - headed the "Black Sea District Court of the Republic of Crimea". Through their actions and decisions, the convicts ensured the functioning of the occupation judiciary on the peninsula, and assisted representatives of a foreign state in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that five occupation judges from Crimea were suspected of administering "justice" on behalf of and in the interests of the aggressor state. In 2022-2024, Ukrainian citizens voluntarily took up positions as "judges" in the judiciary in the occupied Crimean peninsula. In particular, in the "Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea", "Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol", "Bakhchisaray District Court of the Republic of Crimea". In May 2024, one of the suspects was appointed to the position of a "magistrate judge" in the "judicial district of the Central Judicial District of Simferopol, Republic of Crimea".
