After night attack, 57 thousand families in Odesa region left without electricity

As a result of the Russian attack on the night of November 16, 57.6 thousand families in Odesa region were left without electricity.

This was reported by the press service of DTEK Odesa Power Grids.

The company noted that it had connected 48.8 thousand homes and critical infrastructure facilities to backup power sources where it was technically possible. However, as of 12:00, almost 9,000 families were still without electricity.

On the night of November 16, Russians attacked Odesa region with unmanned aerial vehicles, this time hitting Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. A part of Belgorod-Dniester and critical infrastructure facilities were left without power supply and DTEK employees are carrying out emergency repair works.

On the night of November 16, Russians attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 176 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of attack UAVs. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense neutralized 139 enemy Shahed, Gerber and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country. However, 37 drones hit targets at 14 locations and crashed at two locations.

On the morning of November 14, Russians attacked a local market in Chornomorsk, Odesa region, with attack drones. Two people were killed and seven others were wounded, some in serious condition. Information about the victims is being clarified. The strike damaged the town square, store fronts, and private vehicles. The blast wave shattered windows in a nearby college.

On the night of November 14, Russians also attacked the south of Odesa region with attack drones, hitting civilian infrastructure. The air defense forces destroyed most of the enemy targets, but there was damage to civilian infrastructure and an energy facility. The attack on the energy facility caused fires and damaged a nearby residential building and the roof of a garage. Rescuers localized the fire, but there is one victim, a 61-year-old man, who received medical care.
