Odesa has announced the restoration of a historic building for 58 million. The works include renovation of the facade, roof, communications and installation of modern equipment inside.

This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro public procurement system.

In November, the Capital Construction Department of the Odesa City Council announced a tender for the restoration of administrative premises and roofing of the architectural monument at 30 Svyatoslav Karavansky Street (formerly Zhukovsky Street). The expected purchase price is UAH 58.6 million.

The amount of the bid security is UAH 200 thousand. Bidders can submit their bids until December 6, and the auction is scheduled for December 8.

The two-story building, known as the Kitover House, was built in the first half of the 19th century and added to the list of architectural monuments in 2008.

For almost UAH 59 million, the contractor is to carry out a range of restoration work: restore the facade and roof, dismantle wooden partitions and strengthen the walls with a metal frame, update the stucco decor, and prime and paint the surfaces.

It is also planned to lay water and electricity networks, install ventilation, fire extinguishing systems and air conditioners. The building will be equipped with a 160 kg elevator with two stops. The selected contractor should complete the work by the end of next year.

In addition, Bolgrad plans to restore the facade of the architectural monument "Mansion of 1870-1890". The building is one of the most valuable historical structures in the city and an important part of its cultural environment, but the facade is currently in poor condition: the plaster is crumbling, the cornices, stucco, platbands, and authentic architectural details are damaged. The restoration of the building is estimated at over UAH 7 million.

In early November, the reconstruction of one of the semi-circular architectural monuments of national importance, the Zavadovsky House, began in Odesa. Under the guise of restoration work, a McDonald's is planned to be set up on the ground floor, right behind Duke's.
