A shelter is planned to be built for students of Mykolaiv Polytechnic College by the end of August 2025

A shelter for students of a polytechnic vocational college is to be built in Mykolaiv. The repair work should be completed by the end of August 2025. More than 23 million have been allocated from the city budget.

This is evidenced by the data of the electronic public procurement system Prozorro.

It is planned to overhaul the civil defense facility of the Mykolaiv Polytechnic Vocational College - storage facility No. 52498 at 11-A Nikolska Street.

The tender was announced by the Department of Urban Development and Architecture of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. The deadline for submitting bids is December 27, and the auction is scheduled for December 30.

The expected value of the tender is UAH 23 million 438 thousand 808. The minimum price reduction step is UAH 234,388.

The repair work on the shelter should be completed by August 31, 2025.

According to the tender documents, bidders must secure their bids with a bank guarantee in the amount of UAH 70 thousand. No security is required to secure the execution of the procurement contract. The selected contractor must provide documented experience in performing similar work.

In the event of unilateral termination of the contract at the request of the procuring entity, the contractor must compensate for losses and pay a fine of 1% of the principal amount of the contract.

The contractor must also provide the employer with acts of work performed twice a month and will be liable under the applicable law for the accuracy of the information provided. In addition, the contractor is to prevent and reduce the amount of construction waste, prevent chemical spills on the soil; take measures to reduce the toxicity of emissions; and use water and electricity sparingly.

The company also plans to overhaul the radiation shelter in the dormitory building of the Novo Odesa Vocational College. The estimated duration of the repair is seven months. The 1520-square-meter shelter is designed for 450 people. Almost thirty million hryvnias will be spent from the state budget.

In Mykolaiv, they also decided to modernize the construction college. The project will include cosmetic and major repairs of classrooms and auditoriums; installation of modern training equipment and new furniture; facade and roof insulation, etc. Funds for the reconstruction and arrangement of the educational institution were provided by Denmark. The project budget is UAH 12 million.
