A poultry farm in the Mykolaiv region has been put up for sale for $3.5 million

A full-cycle poultry complex in the Mykolaiv region has been put up for sale for $3.5 million. The facility is located in the northern part of the region, near the Kirovohrad region, approximately 120 kilometers from the Port of Mykolaiv.

The corresponding announcement was published on an investment platform.

The complex operates on a full production cycle basis: broiler rearing, slaughter, and primary processing of poultry; production of compound feed; refrigeration and warehousing facilities; a quality control laboratory; and transportation and energy infrastructure. The company was acquired in 2013, production began in 2016, and the slaughterhouse was commissioned in 2021. Currently, the main production facilities remain operational, while the slaughterhouse is temporarily out of service due to the need to modernize the cooling system.

The production site covers 15.6 hectares. It includes ten poultry houses, a feed mill, a slaughterhouse complex, warehouses, a maintenance facility, administrative buildings, wells, a water tower, and other infrastructure. The total area of the buildings exceeds 21,000 square meters.

Currently, the company raises approximately 800,000–900,000 broilers per year, producing over 2,000 metric tons of meat. Following the modernization, the owners estimate the production capacity at 1.1–1.2 million birds and up to 2,700 metric tons of meat annually. The slaughterhouse can process up to two million birds per year, allowing it to not only process its own production but also provide services to other farms.

The company has its own feed mill with a capacity of up to five metric tons per hour, a grain storage facility for approximately 3,000 metric tons, two independent power supply lines, a 160-kW solar power plant with an energy storage system, and backup diesel generators.

To reach full design capacity, an investment of approximately 375,000 euros is required. These funds are planned to be allocated toward modernizing the cooling system, completing the implementation of HACCP standards, obtaining ISO 22000 and Halal certification, equipping additional production areas, and purchasing transportation equipment. Afterward, the company expects to be able to export its products to countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and the European Union.

According to the seller’s financial model, after modernization, the facility could generate between 770,000 and over one million dollars in net profit per year, depending on the utilization rate of production capacity. The total investment, including the acquisition of the enterprise, modernization, and working capital, is estimated at approximately $4.2 million, with a projected payback period of four to five and a half years.
