Over the past day, Russian troops continued their massive attacks on the Kherson region, using artillery and drones. Kherson and more than three dozen settlements in the region came under enemy fire.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian forces targeted residential neighborhoods as well as critical and social infrastructure. As a result of the attacks, three high-rise buildings and 12 private homes were damaged.
According to regional authorities, four people were injured as a result of the Russian aggression. Six residents were also evacuated from liberated communities in the region.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office clarified that as of the evening of June 17, three casualties had been reported. Among them was a married couple from the village of Blagovishchenske, who were injured when their home came under artillery fire.
Another casualty was a police officer. He was wounded in Kherson as a result of a Russian drone attack.
In addition to residential buildings, a dental clinic, as well as official and private vehicles, sustained damage.
Law enforcement authorities have opened criminal cases under the article on war crimes in response to these latest attacks by Russian forces. Prosecutors and investigators are documenting the consequences of the shelling and gathering evidence to bring those responsible to justice.
Recently, Russian forces attackedashuttlebuswith a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson. One man was killed in the strike, and two others, including the driver, were injured.
In addition, Russian forces attackeda hospitalin Bilozirka, Kherson Oblast, with artillery and FPV drones. Two nurses and a hospital employee were injured in the shelling, and the hospital building and nearby residential homes were damaged.
Furthermore, an employeeof an energy company was killed in Kherson as a result of a Russian drone attack. At the time of the strike, the man was performing emergency repair work.
