In Kherson, a Russian drone struck a minibus: one passenger was killed and others were injured

On the morning of June 16, Russian forces attacked a minibus with a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson. One man was killed in the strike, and two others, including the driver, were injured.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the enemy drone struck the bus while it was in motion.

A man was killed on the spot as a result of the attack. The bus driver and a female passenger were also taken to the hospital. Medical personnel are providing them with the necessary care.

This latest strike on civilian transport occurred following a day of massive attacks on the Kherson region. According to the regional military administration, on June 15, more than 40 settlements in the region were subjected to drone attacks and artillery shelling, including Kherson, Antonivka, Komyshany, Chornobaivka, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, and Stanislav.

Russian forces struck residential neighborhoods, social facilities, and critical infrastructure. At least five private homes, a supermarket, and private vehicles were damaged in the region.

Over the past 24 hours, one person was killed and 21 others were wounded as a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson region. A child is among the victims.

Authorities once again urged residents of frontline communities to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine.

Earlier, Russian drones attacked energy and transportation infrastructure in Mykolaiv, and trolleybuses stopped running in Kherson. Prior to that,the Mykolaiv regionwas also targeted by Russian drones. As a result of the nighttime attack, residents of Mykolaiv and one of the villages in the district were injured, and residential buildings were damaged.
