Petro Obukhov, a member of the Odesa City Council, has been appointed acting chair of the Odesa regional chapter of the “European Solidarity” party. City Council member Marina Boiko has been appointed deputy chair of the regional chapter.

Boiko announced the personnel changes on her Facebook page following the party convention.

The council member noted that she views the new appointment as a great honor and responsibility. According to her, she plans to work on developing the party’s team in the region and achieving new results.

“I am grateful for this high level of trust and will make every effort to preserve and build upon what we already have, develop our team in the region, and achieve new results,” wrote Marina Boiko.

Prior to this appointment, the position of head and authorized representative of the Odesa regional branch of the “European Solidarity” party was held by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko.

On October 5, the leadership of “European Solidarity” officially announced Goncharenko’s expulsion from the parliamentary faction in the Verkhovna Rada. The reason for the split was his statements regarding the need for compromises to end the war with Russia.

On October 14, Goncharenko was officially expelled from the “European Solidarity” parliamentary faction. He is currently an independent MP.
