A grain warehouse and a hotel caught fire in the Odesa region as a result of Russian strikes

On August 14, Russian occupation forces launched a new attack on the Odesa region. The attack caused fires in the Odesa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of the Odesa region.

In the Odesa district, a warehouse used to store grain caught fire. The fire was extensive.

In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, the attack caused the roof of a hotel complex to catch fire, as well as nearby dry grass.

Rescue workers quickly extinguished the fires and prevented them from spreading further. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities or injuries.

The State Emergency Service deployed 58 firefighters and 14 pieces of equipment to address the aftermath of the Russian attack. Seven members of the local fire department also responded with two pieces of equipment.

As reported by Intent, on August 13, aRussian “Shahed” missile struck the Odesa–Dnipro passenger train with precision. The train driver and his assistant were killed when the missile hit the locomotive. There was also another strike—on a diesel locomotive that was performing shunting operations.

A total of 525 passengers, including 130 children, were evacuated from the scene. Buses were brought in to transport the passengers. A child who was injured received medical attention on the spot.
