Kindergartens in the Odesa region received nine million from UNITED24

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution allocating 41.1 million hryvnias, raised through UNITED24, for the renovation of educational institutions in frontline regions. The Odesa region will receive nearly nine million hryvnias.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The funds will be used to purchase furniture, computer equipment, software, and backup power supplies, as well as to meet other needs of educational institutions. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>“Children must receive a quality education regardless of how close their community is to the front lines or what energy challenges it faces,” said Andriy Butenko, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span> Anastasia Sofienko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, noted that the outcome will depend on the joint efforts of all levels of government. Once the decision is made, communities and school administrators must promptly carry out the purchases so that the funds translate into tangible changes for children, students, and educators as quickly as possible. Therefore, the effective use of these funds will depend on efforts at the local level.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier, following an appeal by Intent to the Ministry of Education and Science,Ihor Fedyanin, a student from frontline Kherson who missed an exam due to a drone attack, received permission to take the exam during the makeup session. The Appeals Commission at the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment reviewed the appeal and issued a favorable decision.
