A fire broke out in a building in Odesa following a Russian attack

On the night of September 18, a two-story, vacant building caught fire in Odesa as a result of a Russian attack. There were no casualties.

This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.

According to Lysak, air raid sirens sounded in Odesa during the night and in the morning.

As a result of the enemy strike, a two-story, unused building sustained damage. A fire broke out there but was quickly extinguished.

According to the Military Administration, no one was injured in Odesa.

Later, Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, provided details about the attack on the Odesa region. 

He said that the Russians launched a massive attack on the region’s civilian infrastructure. Preliminary reports indicate that three people were injured.

The strikes damaged residential areas, a business, storage tanks, and warehouses. A private residential building was completely destroyed, and at least five others were damaged.

A high school building, greenhouses, and several vehicles were also destroyed. Cleanup efforts are underway at the sites of the strikes. Law enforcement officials are documenting yet another war crime committed by Russia.

Odesa comes under daily attack from the Russians using various types of weapons—the enemy employs rocket-propelled and conventional “shahids,” “banderole,” missiles, and guided aerial bombs.

On the night of September 17, the city and the region came under a massive combined attack by Russian forces. Seven people were injured in the strikes, including children aged 4 and 13. One of the Russian drones struck a multi-story residential building.

On September 16, a man was killed in his own garage as a result of a “Shahed” rocket strike.

On the night of September 12, Russian forces launched a massive strike on Odesa: a “Kalibr” missile struck a 25-story building in Arkadia. Two people were killed in the attack; their bodies were recovered by rescue workers during search-and-rescue operations.

On the same day inChornomorsk, Odesa Oblast, a local hotel that was being used as a rehabilitation center sustained damage.
