Khadzhybeyskyi District Court of Odesa approved a plea agreement concluded between a financier of a company and the prosecutor.

As stated in the court's verdict, the woman pleaded guilty to participating in a criminal organization and aiding the aggressor state and was sentenced to a total of five years in prison with a 10-year ban on business activities related to the sale of electrical equipment, without confiscation of property, instead of the 10-12 years in prison that she could have been sentenced to in the aggregate for these crimes.

However, the woman was not sent to prison anyway, because under the agreement, her actual sentence was replaced by probation for two years.

The case file shows that the woman worked for Novatek-Electro, a limited liability company whose director decided to supply electrical equipment to the Russian Federation and involved his subordinates and another entrepreneur in this activity. Foreign companies were used to supply the equipment, in particular, Polish and Estonian companies, through which the products were formally shipped. The actual recipients were Russian businessmen, including those controlled by the aggressor state.

The convicted woman worked as a financier and ensured the work of all documentation. She prepared contracts, invoices and controlled the flow of funds. Investigators found that the accused helped to create the appearance of legality of transactions, hiding the real partners.

In February 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the elimination of a scheme to circumvent sanctions on the supply of Ukrainian products to the aggressor country. Seven members of the criminal group were detained: the founder and top managers of a local company that sold electrical equipment to Russia for military facilities of the Russian Federation. These were high-tech devices that ensure the protection and uninterrupted operation of power grids. It was established that during 2023, the defendants secretly supplied several batches of domestic goods to Russia totaling more than USD 1 million.
