A Day of Mourning was declared in Odesa for the second time this week

Igor Koval, acting mayor of Odesa, declared July 21 a day of mourning for the city residents killed by a Russian missile.

The municipal press office released the corresponding order. 

The incident occurred on the morning of July 20. The enemy attacked a civilian enterprise in the Odesa region. Unfortunately, according to preliminary reports, six people were killed and four others were injured. 

The shelling caused equipment to catch fire and damaged a gas pipeline. Two of the injured were hospitalized. Doctors assess the condition of one of them as critical, while the other is in moderate condition. Medical personnel provided them with all necessary medical care.

Therefore, on July 21, the National Flag of Ukraine and the flag of Odesa with mourning ribbons will be flown at half-mast on the buildings of executive bodies, municipal utilities, institutions, and organizations of the Odesa City Council.

The district administrations of the Odesa City Council are to ensure that the National Flag of Ukraine and the flag of Odesa, both flown at half-mast with black ribbons, are displayed on public buildings; enterprises, institutions, and organizations in the city, regardless of ownership, are advised to limit the use of music and the holding of entertainment events.

A Day of Mourning had previously been declared for July 16 in memory of those killed in the July 15 attack. On the morning of July 15, Russian troops launchedamissilestrikeon Odesa. Three people were killed in the attack, and eight others were injured. Four people were hospitalized; two are in moderate condition. The remaining victims received outpatient medical care. An air raid alert was declared in Odesa that morning due to the threat of a missile strike. The Ukrainian Air Forcewarnedof high-speed targets moving from the Black Sea toward the city.
