On the morning of July 15, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Odesa. Three people were killed and three others were injured as a result of the attack. Residential buildings were also damaged.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the shelling.
He initially reported on the fatalities, injuries, and damage to residential buildings, and later clarified that, as of that morning, three people had been confirmed dead.
The three injured individuals have been hospitalized. According to local authorities, medical personnel assess their condition as moderate.
An air raid alert was issued in Odesa this morning due to the threat of a missile strike. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of high-speed targets moving from the Black Sea toward the city. Around 7:01 a.m., a series of explosions rocked Odesa.
Following the attack, emergency and municipal services are working at the sites of the strikes. The full extent of the damage and the consequences of the strike are still being assessed.
The night before, on the night of July 14, Russian troops also attacked Odesa. According to Serhiy Lysak, there were no casualties on that occasion. The shock wave damaged buildings and shattered windows. Municipal services quickly cleared up the damage, and residents of the damaged buildings were provided with forms to apply for compensation.
