In Izmail, Odesa Oblast, the Vodokanal has selected a contractor for the overhaul of the water supply network in the Fortetsia neighborhood on the third attempt. Two May auctions failed due to inaccuracies in the documents.

The relevant announcement was published in the Prozorro e-procurement system.

But the third auction was successful. The winner was Rodnik, a private enterprise owned by Izmail City Council member Ihor Dekhtyarev. The Izmail-based company offered to perform the work for UAH 17 million 929 thousand. Although the offer of the only competitor, Kyiv-based Kraina-Park, was slightly lower, the customer rejected its proposal due to unresolved discrepancies in the documents.

The facility will be repaired with funding from UNICEF. Izmail will receive the funds under the Program Document for Ukraine for the period 2025-2029.

The geography of the works is from the Fortetsia pumping station (II lift) at 6a Izmailska Street to Stantsiyne Selo within Izmailska Street (formerly Fanagoriyska Street).

The technical specification includes the following works: dismantling of 170 meters of steel water pipes, dismantling of reinforced concrete wells and eight hydrants, excavation and other earthworks, laying of 869 meters of 450 mm diameter polyethylene pipes and several small sections of smaller sizes. It also includes drilling a pilot well with a diameter of up to 250 mm and its further expansion. After that, about 90 meters of pipes will be laid to it. The plan is to construct and waterproof wells and install manholes. Separately, the road's asphalt surface will be restored and sidewalks will be tiled.

The Izmail Water Supply and Sewerage Production Department expects the contractor to complete the work by November 30, 2025.
