In the Odesa region, the Vyzyr community signed a memorandum on the implementation of the large-scale "Black Sea Energy and Transport Hub" project. The initiative involves the construction of a complex for the production of green ammonia and eco-friendly ammonium fertilizers.

This was reported by the Vizirsk community.

The project involves the construction of an energy cluster, the development of production, and the creation of over a thousand jobs. The total investment is estimated at approximately 350 million euros.

The facility plans to combine various types of power generation with battery storage systems. This is necessary to balance the grid. In the future, the total capacity of generation and balancing power could reach about 500 megawatts.

Once there is sufficient generation capacity, surplus electricity will be used to produce green ammonia and mineral fertilizers.

Natalia Katser-Buchkovska, director of “Black Sea Energy and Transport Hub” LLC, noted that the project will provide opportunities for the energy development of nearby industries. She also emphasized the importance of rebuilding without waiting for the war to end.

As previously reported by Intent, the government has included the “Bessarabian AgroTech Park” in Artsyz, Odesa Oblast, in the state register. The plan is to spend 884 million hryvnias on the facility’s construction.
