A collaborator from Kakhovka has turned into a real hunter for pro-Ukrainian residents in the Kherson region. He kidnaps, beats and betrays people to the Russian occupiers. His name is Serhiy Chetvergov.

This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism.

According to the publication, 50-year-old Serhiy Chetvergov from Kakhovka has been cooperating with the Russian occupiers as a policeman since 2022. He is directly involved in the abductions and brutal torture of local residents, claiming that he seeks to completely "cleanse" the city of pro-Ukrainian citizens.

Residents of Kakhovka, including the victims, told journalists that Chetvergov personally detains people, takes them to his own torture chamber, where he beats them unconscious and brutally abuses them. He hands some of them over to the Russian military. Some of the abductees are still in captivity.

According to the victims and their relatives, Chetverthov not only betrayed his friends by writing denunciations against them, but also coordinated their abduction. In the local occupation publics, he openly threatens activists, ATO soldiers, partisans and pro-Ukrainian farmers, complaining that his "basement is empty."

Chetvertgov also participated in propaganda events organized by the Russian military for May 9 in Kakhovka.

According to the Crisis Group, before the war he worked as a manager at a local farm, then sold vodka and owned a car parts store.

In addition, in this cynical scheme, Chetvergov is actively assisted by his fellow countryman Roman Lezhev, a native of Kakhovka who is currently hiding in Indonesia. Despite being thousands of kilometers away, he remains in touch with the occupiers: He supplies Chetvertgov with information about pro-Ukrainian residents who then disappear into his torture chamber.

Meanwhile, 70 collaborators were handed over to Russia as part of the prisoner exchange, including a representative from Kherson, Viktor Kirillov. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison for collaboration. The traitor worked as a police officer - a driver of the occupation police unit of the Korabelny district of Kherson. Kirillov had been waiting to leave for Russia for more than 11 months and 9 days. On May 23, he was handed over to Russia as part of an exchange.
