In the Kherson region, a 56-year-old businessman from the Henichesk district has been charged in absentia with collaborating with the Russian Federation. Law enforcement officials believe that after the occupation, he re-registered his business under Russian law and transferred his property to an entity controlled by the occupying forces.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The case file indicates that in December 2022, the suspect registered the private enterprises “Tavria Resort Complex” and “Urozhay-II Farm” with Russian tax authorities.
Law enforcement officials also determined that the man participated in the creation of pro-Russian informational content. According to the investigation, he gave interviews to propaganda media outlets, in which the operations of his farm were presented as a positive example of doing business under occupation.
In comments to the occupying media, the suspect spoke about the development of the agricultural sector. At the same time, he discussed with representatives of the occupying authorities how to file reports to receive subsidies and how to carry out a planting campaign using grain of Russian origin.
Furthermore, according to the investigation, the entrepreneur arranged for the transfer of equipment with a total value of 94,000 hryvnias to the so-called Ivanivka Division of the State Unitary Enterprise for Basin Water Resources Management in the Kherson region.
