The case involving the alleged head of the Kherson Oblast Agricultural Committee has been referred to court

The prosecutor’s office has filed an indictment with the court against a native of Uzbekistan for spreading Russian propaganda and justifying the occupation of the Kherson region. The defendant held a position in the occupation administration and participated in mass anti-Ukrainian events.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. 

According to the investigation, Pavlo Kim, a native of Uzbekistan and a stateless person, took a position in the occupation administration following the occupation of parts of the Kherson region (Henichesk and Skadovsk districts) and became the director of Rassvet LLC. 

In this capacity, he appeared in a video segment on the “Zov Kherson” online channel marking the opening of Putin’s campaign headquarters in Henichesk, where he stated that his task was to convey the “president’s program” to voters.

In February 2024, the suspect acted as “Putin’s representative,” spoke about conveying “orders” from residents of the Kherson region to the Russian president, and praised Putin’s “objectivity” in fulfilling promises made to the business and agricultural sectors.

He publicly appealed to a Russian official, asking him to continue state support for farmers in the “new territories” (i.e., the occupied territories of Ukraine). He also appeared in a news segment, introducing himself as the head of a public association of Koreans in the Kherson region.

As Intent previously reported, the Court of Appeals reviewed the sentence of a Kherson region resident who headed a “precinct election commission” during the Russian pseudo-referendum in the region. Her prison sentence was increased to four years.
