A 16-year-old athlete from Kherson became a world champion in karate

16-year-old Anastasia Podkopaeva became the world champion in Kyokushinkai karate. The competition was held in the Hungarian city of Szolnok.

This was reported on the page of the Zhytomyr City Council.

The family of the young athlete moved to Zhytomyr with the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The girl trains 6 times a week with a coach. And three times at home. She performs all the exercises carefully.

Coach Oleksandr says Anastasia is calm, well-mannered and responsible. She does everything perfectly. He thanked her first coach from Kherson, Serhii Darii: "It was he who laid the solid foundation that we have developed here. And here is the result - a world champion."

Anastasia considers overcoming difficulties to be a way of life.

"I like to overcome difficult exercises, it strengthens my character. Karate has taught me discipline - I'm never late and always arrive earlier than necessary. Even when it's hard, I tell myself: "Do it first, and then you can rest," Anastasia says.
