Water and coastal pollution
Water pollution is the saturation of water bodies, watercourses, and groundwater with harmful substances that deteriorate water quality and create environmental problems. In Ukrainian territories, especially in southern regions, water pollution is often associated with industrial emissions, sewage discharges, oil spills, and other chemical substances. The problem affects both marine coasts and inland water bodies, impacting ecosystems, fish resources, and the quality of life of the population.
