A tax inspection is a territorial subdivision of the State Tax Service of Ukraine that exercises control over tax payments, conducts inspections of legal entities and individuals, and investigates tax violations. Tax inspection bodies operate at various levels—from regional to district—and are a key structure in the system of state financial control and combating the shadow economy.
