Pseudo-elections in occupied regions
Pseudo-elections are illegal electoral processes organized by Russian occupation authorities on occupied territories of Ukraine, particularly in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Such "elections" are not recognized by Ukraine, the European Union, and the United States and are considered part of Russian annexation policy and collaborationism. Participants and organizers of pseudo-elections are prosecuted by Ukrainian justice as individuals involved in occupation and state treason.
