Performance

Performance is a form of contemporary art where an artist or group of artists performs a pre-planned or improvised act before an audience in real time. Unlike traditional forms of art, the artwork in performance is the action itself, rather than its material result. This genre is often used to express social, political, or cultural ideas and to engage viewers in active participation in the artistic process.
